The new 2012 Dodge Journey comes available in AVP, SE, SXT, Crew and R/T

trim and the next level SE come standard with a 2.4L DOHC I-4 engine
with dual VVT paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission, providing
173 horsepower and 166 pound-feet of torque. Trims SXT through R/T come
equipped with a more competent 3.6L Pentastar VVT V6 engine paired with a
6-speed automatic transmission with AutoStick, producing 283 horsepower
and 260 pound-feet or torque. AVP and SE trims offer 19/city, 26/hwy
mpg. Higher trims offer 17/city and 25/hwy mpg, and also offer an AWD
option, which lowers each by one mile.
Additional performance features include standard Electronic Stability
Control (ESC) with Electronic Roll Mitigation, Trailer Sway Control,
Brake Assist, and all-speed traction control.

The 2012 Dodge Journey comes offering additional standard and
upgradeable features that are a welcome change to the vehicles earlier
incarnations. Base trims comes standard with Keyless Enter 'n Go,
Uconnect Touch 4.3 Media Center AM/FM/CD with six speaker,
tilt/telescoping steering wheel with integrated audio and cruise

body-colored door handles, upgraded premium cloth seating, power locks
and windows, power heated mirrors, 16-inch wheels, Remote USB port and
audio jack input, Tire Pressure Monitoring Display, and Electronic
Vehicle Information Center (EVIC) with color display. The similarly
equipped SE adds LED taillamps, deep-tint sunscreen glass, and black
side roof rails.
In addition to the upgraded engine, the SXT offers upgraded exterior
trim treatments, fog lamps, 17-inch aluminum wheels, folding side
mirrors, front and rear floor mats, and an upgraded sound system with
SiriusXM Satellite Radio and a one-year subscription. The Crew steps
things up with 19-inch aluminum wheels, exterior trim treatments,
Uconnect Voice Command with Bluetooth, an upgraded sound system,
power-adjusting driver's seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift
knob, one-touch power windows, remote start, interior trim and
technology upgrades, air conditioning with Dual-Zone Automatic
Temperature Control (ATC), a 115-volt power outlet, security alarm, and
automatic headlamps. R/T tops off the trims with 19-inch satin-carbon
aluminum wheels, exclusive exterior trim upgrades, black leather-trimmed
seats with red stitching, and R/T exterior badging.
Notable add-ons include available for all trims include optional
7-passenger seating, engine block heater, and second-row seat with two
integrated child booster seats, as well as trim-dependent upgrades, such
as heated leather-trimmed seats (Crew), Trailer Tow Prep Group (Crew,

Features
During testing by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the 2012
Dodge Journey received "Good" ratings for frontal offset, side impact
and roof strength tests. All 2012 Journeys come standard with front
airbags, side curtain airbags, driver knee airbag, traction and
stability control, antilock disc brakes, and active front head
restraints.
